Prayer Requests for Interior Team of Uruguay, Criollo Uruguayan Team

Lyle and Claren Dease, San Jose:

1. Pray for the "Sunday Celebration" service on Sunday, April 15 in Club San Lorenzo, San José. This will be the official beginning of the "40 Days of Purpose" campaign for the 6 works in the Dept. of San José. It will be a time of worship, singing, testimonies, and drama. Pray for Oscar López, Luís Silva, José Luís Quinteros, Juani Cedrés, Analía Tofful, and Adriana Tofful as they lead out in different areas of the campaign. Also pray for the 15 small groups which will begin next week, and those who will lead them. 2. Pray for the baptisms of Jorge Corrale, Micaela Adán, Ruben Reboira, and maybe Jorge Maldonado on Sunday, April 15. Pray that the weather will cooperate this time. We had to postpone the last baptism due to terrible weather which flooded the river. 3. Pray for Claren as she begins all the children´s groups this week and this weekend. Since we are beginning Stateside Assignment on June 1, 2007, she will be training workers especially youth like Silvina Castelao, Andrea Almada, Pablo Debece, Gonzalo Debece, Bettina Quinteros, and Adriana Tofful to direct the children.

1. Pray for the follow up of the evangelism event held on Good Friday during Holy Week with the presentation of the movie, "The Passion of Christ".

2. Pray for the 14 people currently in the leadership training for discipleship and evangelism.

3. Robert led the church in a survey of choosing church leadership and as a result a list of those for leadership positions has emerged. Pray for those who have prayerfully accepted positions of leadership in the church:
Pastor - Gonzalo Gama
Dorcas Ministry/Social ministry - Irma Rodriguez, Discipleship - Paola Pineiro and Claudia Silva
Administration - Fredy Gama
Youth - Paola Pineiro and Ismael Estavillo
Children - Claudia Silva and Belkys Bandera

4. Before the church filled out the leadership survey, Gonzalo Gama spoke to us about how he felt God calling him to be pastor. Please pray for Gonzalo, Claudia and Mauricia as this family assumes the role of pastoral family. Gonzalo's work in a local restaurant places many time restraints on his desire to minister. Pray strength and wisdom for him.

5. April 15th we will have a celebration service with Ruth Gastaldi participating and delivering the legal church incorporation papers. Ruth is a court clerk from a Baptist church in Nueva Helvecia (Colonia) and has been an integral part of working through the legal process. Pray for this special day of celebration.

6. With the church incorporation and the legal papers handed to the church, the Melo church has now asked for transfer of property from the mission to the local church membership. Pray for the legal process to be completed.

7. Pray for Belkys and Ismael as they travel to Montevideo to represent the church in a special inaguration service at the church in Cerrito on April 14th.

8. Pray for the delegates from the church as they represent the membership at the national Baptist Convention April 20 - 21. It will be a first time visit to the convention services for Ismael and Belkys.

9. Pray for Nohelia, Karina, Bruno, Gimena and Andrea as they continue to consider baptism. Pray for their growth and understanding
